Mindy began practicing Yoga in 1997 and teaching in 2003, after becoming
certified in Interdisciplinary Hatha Yoga.  She is registered with the Yoga
Alliance as an Experienced Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500hr) and as a
Continuing Education Provider (YA-CEP). In 2016,  Mindy completed a 300-
hour advanced teacher training with a focus on anatomy and physiology,
modifying and adapting the practice of yoga for unique populations, and
learning the skills of intake, assessment, and intervention to address the
needs of all individuals.  Mindy's approach to Hatha Yoga is informed by
prop intensive yoga traditions, years of workshops with anatomy oriented
Doug Keller and the belief that our greatest teacher is our own unique and
innate wisdom from within! She has a background in clinical social work
(MSW) and  is also certified as a Yoga Therapist by the International
Association of Yoga therapists (C-IAYT) . Mindy has a special appreciation
for Hatha Yoga's potential to strengthen the mind, body, and heart
connection.  She also has specialized training in Trauma Sensitive Yoga.  
Mindy's teaching  intention is to promote health and well being on and off
the yoga mat and she emphasizes personal choice and creativity in her
classes. Mindy is also a registered Maine Recreational Guide and loves
bringing yoga asana (posture) and mindfulness practice outdoors!  Mindy
leads Nature Based Yoga experiences including Yoga Hikes, Paddle board
Yoga, and Beach Yoga classes in warmer weather.  Mindy  teaches full
time in a variety of settings including Yoga Studios, Community Centers,
Schools and in Nature and is the Director of Yoga and Body Centered
Services at Bridge Studio at Art of Awareness. She shares yoga with
practitioners of all ages and abilities including children and  is also
certified in Childlight Yoga, Prenatal Yoga and Yin Yoga.  Mindy has
recently developed Yoga Muse School of Yoga and is currently Registered
with the Yoga Alliance as an RYS(200) and offers  200 hour Yoga Teacher
Training Certifications. She also hopes to offer  a 300 hour teacher
training program in the near future as well as ongoing continuing
education for teachers and yoga practitoners of all levels of experience.
